| Monthly Programs - General Meetings |
Regular monthly luncheon meetings (October - April) are held at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial on the first Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A light lunch is served at 12:00 p.m. followed by a short meeting and program. We encourage all members to attend as many General Meetings as possible.
Please note: The Grosse Pointe War Memorial is a smoke-free environment.

September 10th Kickoff Luncheon at Grosse Pointe Yacht Club Is the actor's life for you? Barbara Bentley, member of Grosse Pointe Theatre, will present an overview of this Grosse Pointe institiution. Founded in 1948, the group boasts nearly 450 members and presents several community theatre productions a year as well as youth and outreach programs.
October 1st The Watershed Story
Ever wonder where all that rain and melting snow goes? Dan Kiefer, from the Clinton River Watershed Council, will explain how most of this water goes into the Clinton River and eventually out to Lake St. Clair. The Watershed Story is a journey down the river to learn how it is affected by surrounding land and human activity.
November 5th Decorating for Real People Designer secrets made simple for the holidays and beyond. The speaker is our very own Racelle Armada, Interior Design Consultant.
December 3rd Holiday Boutique and Luncheon Kick-off the season in the War Memorial's Crystal Ballroom with shopping and a delicious lunch with champagne! The ULS choir will provide festive holiday entertainment. A Club tradition not to be missed!
January 7th Tea at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House Enjoy an afternoon luncheon tea with the ladies at the lovely Ford House.
February 4th Psychology and the Law
The Honorable Brian R. Sullivan, Wayne County Circuit Court Judge, teams up with forensic neuropsychologist, Dr. Donna Z. Kelland, to present a first-hand accuont of the relationship between psychology and criminal law as it relates to everyday experiences.
March 4th Glorious Gardens of Grosse Pointe 1890-1930
In the heyday of the estates and mansions of Grosse Pointe, gardens were as important as the home itself. Nationally known landscape architects, as well as local talent ere commissioned to embellish the property. Grosse Pointe Historical Society Board member and estate specialist Susan Hartz will give a PowerPoint presentation on these glorious gardens.
April 1st Dirt Cheap: Tips for Successful Low-Budget Gardening Create your own glorious Grosse Pointe garden with help from Anita Callender, Advanced Master Gardener and Master Gardener Coordinator for Wayne County. Anita will teach the planning, developing, and planting of your special garden. May 6th Spring Celebration Luncheon Come join us at the Ark for our season finale. Enjoy a fabulous meal. We will say good-bye to out-going board members and graciously welcome in our new 2010-2011 officers.
